Q1: What’s special about TWiNY’s operability?

TWiNY Opaque’s concealment capabilities have been inherited from Luna-Wing Opaque, and are just as good. Also, TWiNY Opaque’s enhanced application properties mean that brushstrokes do not remain on the product after use. The consistency of Body Resin is also calibrated to prevent it dripping or becoming too sticky. This gives it excellent shaping characteristics. Because of this, it is easy to reproduce the structures that are visible in dentin, such as mamelon.

Q2: When my metal spatula touches the cured area while I’m applying hybrid resin, black marks appear. Is there any solution for this?

Ceramic filler is a highly filled-in hybrid resin, which means that it is harder than metal. Therefore, a metal spatula can sometimes chip and leave black marks when it touches on the material. Please use a hard titanium nitride-coated spatula (only for use with hybrid resins), or a plastic spatula. In November 2011, Smile Line SA added 5 kinds of instruments for use with resin to their line-up. These include 2 kinds of resin-use spatula made of rubber. We recommend them for use with TWiNY Opaque.

Q3: During additional layering, lines appear.

We guess this happens because of Repair Liquid. The instructions for using Repair Liquid are the same as for Luna- Wing. Apply Repair Primer and apply Repair Liquid after drying. For more information, please refer to “How to use Repair Liquid?” on the Luna-Wing Q&A page.
