Q1.When VSP is used for A1 shade, red color remained a little. Can it be relieved?

VSP porcelain is designed for adjusting Dentine. Therefore, if the thickness of Dentine cannot be maintained, getting rid of the red color in A1 shade completely is sometimes difficult.
In such cases, use the shade composition shown below. (1) is most recommended. If you want to relieve red color than in (1), use (2). If you prefer whiter color, use (3).

  Opaque Dentine Enamel
(1) O-A1 D-A0:VSP=2:1 E-2
(2) O-A0 D-A1:VSP=3:1 E-2
(3) O-A0 D-A0:VSP=2:1 E-2

Q2.What is the difference between normal Dentine and VD?

ZEO CE LIGHT Dentine A1, A2, A3, A3.5 and A4 have been developed for expressing typical Japanese teeth color tones in the mouth such as bright and reddish. Their natural color tones have been popular since these products were first developed.
Since we have developed normal Dentine A1-A4 in pursuit of natural color tones in the mouth, the color tone on the model is a little different from the general shade guide.

Therefore, we produced VD in order to make communication between clinics and dental laboratories smoother. We offer VD A1, A2, A3, A3.5 and A4. Regarding the other shades such as B, C and D shade, these shades will match the general shade guide. Please use normal Dentine.

Q3.How should I use VD? What is the difference between VD and VSP?

In the VD series, there are 4 shades, A1-A4, which can be used alone. The product instructions are the same as for normal Dentine. The firing temperature and schedule are also same. VSP is the color-adjusting powder.
Please blend VSP with normal Dentine. Depending on the shade, the ratio can vary from 3:1 to 1:1. ( See Table 1 below)

Q4.VD is produced in accordance with the general shade guide.
How close is the color of VD to general shade?

We measured color tones at 5 points from the cervical to incisal area and circled the range in charts #1 and #2. Chart #1 indicates that ZEO CE LIGHT is brighter and redder than the general shade guide. Also, Chart #2 indicates that VD and VSP are less bright and less red than general Dentine. Comparing the circles, you can see that the colors of VD and VSP are very close to the general shade guide.
