Q1: Is it all right to finish the curing process of TWiNY only by light curing?

Light curing provides about 80% of TWiNY’s strength; however, colorant resistance and water-absorption resistance will drastically deteriorate. It will be difficult for TWiNY to achieve sufficient durability, and the shade will not develop as designed if only light curing is done. Therefore, heat curing TWiNY is necessary.

Q2: It is indicated that TWiNY has the strongest bending strength
in the world. Is it used for jacket bridges?

The bending strength, 239MPa, is the highest value of all hybrid resins on the market (as of August, 2011). If the area of connection can be made wider, it is possible to reduce the risk of fracture. However, we recommend you to use fiber provided by other brands (with the consent of the dentist and patient) because unexpected occlusal pressure to molars might happen. Please follow the fiber manufacturer’s instruction manual.
