Q1. How to use Invisible Opaque?

Apply after Primer for all shades.
Carefully fill space of retention beads.
Thickness is good enough when top of retention beads are slightly exposed.
Invisible Opaque is not necessary for area without retention beads.

Q2. Is it possible to directly apply Opaque without Invisible Opaque?

Invisible Opaque is highly flowable to reach undercut of retention beads.
It also has a good light transparency to improve light cure depth.
On the other hand, Opaque is designed to have low flowability and light transparency to cover metal color.

For this reason, always use Invisible Opaque for the full potential of Luna-Wing

Q3. What is the best size of retention beads?

100 - 200μm

Q4. Brush scrapes remain after applying Opaque. Can Opaque be softer?

Resin materials include Opaque have a thixotropy property.
Put a good amount on a pallet or paper and apply force by stirring to gain flowability.
Be careful to avoid bubbles when stirring.
Handling of composite resin may vary depending on the temperature.
20 – 25℃ is recommended for good handling. (leave in a 20℃ room for more than 20 minutes before use if stored in a low temperature)

*Thixotropy : Property to become soft by an external force, and stay in the stable form without an external force.

Q5. Opaque is not cured enough.

Opaque layer may be too thick. Apply thinly for 2-3 times.
Also maintain a light cure lamp in a good condition for proper light cure.
Blur lamp surface or excess of lamp’s service life will cause inefficiency.

Q6. Opaque seems to be too soft.

Flowability of Opaque increases in high temperature. Working in a room with 20-25℃ is recommended.
Metal frame becomes hot if light cured with infrared light and it will cause the increased flowability of Opaque. In this case, cool down a metal frame after light cure.

Q7. How to apply Opaque uniformly without brush scrapes?

Here are the tips to avoid brush scrapes.

1. Working Temperature

General resin material becomes hard in a low temperature and soft in a high temperature for its nature.
20 – 25℃ of the working temperature is recommended.  e.g. If stored in 4℃, leave in a 20℃ room for more than 20 minutes before use.
Use a hand or a dryer for quick heat up.  Opaque is hard and tends to leave brush scrapes when used in a low temperature.

2. Apply

Excess Opaque is swept to the sides of a brush if a brush is strongly pushed against a metal surface.
This may cause the unevenness of paque surfacOe from brush scrapes.
Lightly push a brush as shown in figure 1, and apply Opaque.

3. Others

Applying Opaque with a shaggy brush tip may cause brush scrapes because of uneven stress.  Please use a brush in a good condition.
